1. What is LR Grade AH32 shipbuilding steel plate?

LR Grade AH32 is a 315 MPa-grade high-strength hot-rolled structural steel plate for marine applications certified by Lloyd’s Register (LR). It complies with the LR Specification for Shipbuilding Steels and is an internationally recognized, classification society-certified low-alloy high-strength hull structural steel.

It features excellent overall mechanical properties, consistent impact toughness at room temperature, consistent corrosion resistance, and outstanding weldability, and is specifically designed for use in ships, offshore platforms, and marine structures.

1.1 Applicable Ship Types
