What is the difference between AH32, DH32, EH32 and FH32?
These four grades have identical strength; the key difference lies in the test temperature for low-temperature impact toughness:
AH32: Impact test at 0°C.
DH32: -20°C impact test.
EH32: -40°C impact test.
FH32: -60°C impact test.
The choice of steel grade depends on the ambient temperature in which the vessel operates and the criticality of the hull structure in question.
